Watch the British Olympians vs Scottish Champions
In the Olympic season 2017-18 the Scottish Championships (10-17 Feb) will be played during the Olympic Games (9-25 Feb). The winners of the Women’s and Men’s Scottish Championships will be required to compete in a head to head against the Olympic teams to determine which team will represent Scotland at the respective World Championships in March/April 2018. This is a rare event that will provide a one-off opportunity to showcase the sport.
The competition format has been determined as a best of three games across two days with the timings still to be confirmed.
The schedule is proposed for the week after the end of the Olympics. The quick turnaround is required due the closeness of the World Curling Championships and need to prepare the winning teams.
Scotland will be hosting the World Junior Curling Championships 3-10 March in Aberdeen, so the Olympians/Scottish event is timed to minimise impact on the WJCC.
